Email Marketing Tutorial for Beginners

In previous posts, we have covered the question of what email marketing is all about, how to get started and how to to scale it up, once we have a small element of success. There are lots of systems and programs out there that claim to make us money online, but from my own and others experience, email marketing trumps all and for several reasons. Down along we will see what is required for someone or anyone who is seriously considering doing email marketing as a conduit or road to making a passive, viable and long lasting, profitable online business.

If we have a Laptop, PC or Tablet and internet connection, then we are good to go. That is all the equipment required to get us started…..oh and a positive attitude and a whole ball of enthusiasm. If we have got all those ingredients, we will go a long way. The key here is to get started, do something everyday to progress and build your business and lastly and most importantly…to never give up. Quitters don’t win, winners don’t quit, you probably have heard of all those positive phrases, so right now, you don’t need me to be lecturing or talking down to anyone.

Autoresponders.

Email marketing Tutorial for Beginners

Autoresponders are the systems or technology that we use to get our emails out to our prospects, customers or email list for short. One top email marketer has gone so far as to say that the invention of an autoresponder was one of the greatest discoveries after the internet. They are so streamlined and so easy to use today, it will be a breeze to operate them once we get a handle on how to use them. Again, just to inform you, they are a subscription service,of approx $20 per month, but as a bonus for signing up to them they usually give a 30 day free trial. That is a help for us starting out on an email marketing journey, because if we set out our stall properly, we could me making money in our first month, so that would help greatly.

Solo Ad Vendors.

The next item on the agenda is a list of customers or contacts. This is easily obtained from Solo Ad Vendors, such as Udimi or Clickonomy and there are several others out there offering the same services. The list of customers or visitors come in different packages or bundles, just check through the different sellers or vendors on those sites and you will see all the different packages available to browse through. Not only that but to simplify things further and to help us along the way, we can pick a package or deal of visitors for our preferred niche or category that we are interested in advertising to. By that I mean, say… we are interested in advertising to a wellness or personal development niche, we can purchase a package specially catering for that niche. In the image below, we can see the different price points, bundles and categories for purchase, again, all depending on our budget.

Digital Product or Offer.

The next item on the agenda is a product or offer that we wish to promote or advertise to our customer list. We may have an offer of our own that we would like to promote or if not, no fears, there are thousands of different digital products at our disposal, which again are available from a host of providers. These would be mainly Clickbank, JVZoo, Warrior+, Amazon, eBay and countless others. These providers are mainly Affiliate Marketing companies and by that I mean, they provide the product, we market or sell them on their behalf and we get payment in the form of a % commission in turn. The commissions vary from product to product, company to company and in some cases we can have recurring subscription products, if that’s the case, for our troubles we then get a monthly recurring commission from that vendor for our troubles….very nice. For instance, if a company retails a digital product at say… $85 and their commission payout is 50%. That means we get $42.50 for every product we sell on their behalf. Not bad when you consider that all of this work can be automated and all we need do is to keep track of what is happening in our back-office of the autoresponder company. All of this data is collected and compiled, so that we can make subtle changes here and there to various aspects of our email campaign.

To summarize.

The whole process of getting all of the above organized is called an email campaign. That is when all of the different steps in the process are all linked together and all working in unison. As we become more organised and adept at this type of online activity, we will be able to automate these campaigns with our eyes closed. All of the above might seem complicated to the uninitiated, but trust me, it’s a plug ‘n play process, just drag and drop and we are done. The beauty of all this is of course, regardless of where we live or what hemisphere we reside in, it doesn’t matter a whit, like I said above, a laptop and internet and we are good to go. If properly organised and automated, this online industry can provide us with a substantial passive income round the clock. It’s possible to get up in the morning and check our back-office stats.

To our surprise or amazement, we could and will see that we had success while we slept. Because this email marketing business is not a 9 to 5 office type of job, nope, far from it. It operates round the clock and all the better for us. It’s very very popular out there right now and will only get more popular going forward. If you like what you see, please leave a comment below or if you need and further details on any aspect of the above, don’t hesitate to contact us, where we will be only too happy to assist or help out, where ever we can.
