Email Marketing Sample Letter.
The emails that we send to our corespondents, subscribers or email list is fundamental to the success of our email marketing campaign. We can sign-up to the best autoresponders that are available at our disposal, but if the content that we send in the emails is not relevant and appropriate to our offer or website, then we cannot expect positive results or multiple opt-ins. That’s the sad result and also the hard facts of this industry. So with that said, the greater care and attention that we give to our emails content and format is critical and if we get into those aforementioned good habits, that will definitely be a good foundation to build upon later on in our email marketing campaign and we will see positive results, if we do.
One of the most important steps in all of the above is the subject line. It must be headline grabbing, relevant and also make sense. If we can compose or compile an attention grabbing statement or subject line, that will entice our users to go ahead and open the email to see what it’s all about, we have done our job well. That is the secret and if we get that right, we are on the way to greater and better results. As we progress further on into email marketing, we will be able to send broadcasts from our email autoresponders. Basically that process is whereby after our first email send-out or campaign, we will have a list of subscribers in our back-office. Say 2-3 days later or so, we can reach out to that list again, with further emails, subtly reminding them that this offer is still available or something along those lines. That is called broadcasting. This process can be manually set-up in our AR system, so that it’s all set to go at appointed dates and times thereafter. That is the technology that is available to us and we need to take advantage of same. It takes a bit of getting used to and getting a grip on how it works, but when we know how, it will be a breeze to just ‘set ‘n go’ and we are done.
Critical steps in creating the perfect email.
- Write a great Attention Grabbing Subject Line
- Personalize..write to them as if you know them
- Get to the point as soon as possible ( no fluff or fillers )
- Talk up the offer or deal, but don’t over do it….
- Insert hyperlinks (2-3 max) in the top, middle and end of the email.
- Close out the email
- Sign-off with a salutatory signature. ie, Have a great afternoon, Cheers for now, Sally
The above steps or formula is a type of template that is commonly used by the majority of email marketers today and to great effect. Again, with more practice in this area, we will become more adept and perhaps more creative. A well-composed thought-out email provides the recipients or subscribers with a friendly, clear, concise and actionable message or offer. Learning how to write an email that meets all of these criteria can take practice, patience and time. That is the whole idea and purpose of the email first and foremost, ie, to get them to opt-in or take up on your offer.
Inserting Hyperlinks.
This is the money button or the camouflaged few words, whereby a link is inserted into a sentence and it’s subtly highlighted by either a bold font or different text color. I have inserted a link in this paragraph for your benefit and you can see for yourselves how this process works. It’s a great system and without our subscribers kinda knowing it…..we are in selling mode here. We are indirectly asking our customers or email recipients to click on the link. If they do, the link carries them to a different page/tab, where our offer will open up for them. There they can see or browse through whatever it is we are promoting or marketing. The above Grey Image is from Clickbank and you can see the text code is the link to our offer.
In the above Images A & B, we have outlined how the hyperlink insertion process works. For convenience we have highlighted the words ‘click on the link’ in the above paragraph. When that action is being undertaken a window opens up for us, ie, Image A. Then its a case of heading back to Clickbank (as per grey image above) and grab the link/code for the offer of product and insert it into the open box as per Image B. Go ahead then and press ENTER on your PC or Laptop and you are done. You can also see that there is a little blue button on the bottom of the box…’open in a new tab’. Check that box and that action means that when people click on a link in your email, it will carry them to a new page, where they can browse or read through your offer.
In Conclusion.
Above is a quick overview of how to create an Email Marketing Sample Letter. If I were to go through all the steps in the process, I would have to write a book, so that task will have to wait for another day. If you look at the layout of this post, you will get the drift of what we are referring to. Look at how it’s configured. A beginning, the middle and the close…in short. Some text is highlighted here and there for modulation and variation. It just makes the task of reading the content more enjoyable and interesting. There are images in this post for reference and again, that makes for a visual attractive layout and presentation. We can do that also in emails, but it’s a little more advanced and for seasoned email marketers. When you decide to write an email for your campaign, you go to the ‘Create Email’ box, in your Autoresponder, where you are encouraged to do all of the above. It’s just like writing a Word doc….
You can capitalize, change out the font size and type, highlight some text and colorize text also. The image on the very top of this post is a screenshot of an email from one of my campaigns. So you can see for yourselves, how easy and simple that task is. I trust that you have enjoyed reading this post and if so, do please leave a comment in the box down below. if you have any concerns or queries regarding any of the above, don’t hesitate to contact or message us, where we will be only too happy to reply.
