Email marketing has been around for years and for very good reason. I guess that is testament to how robust and versatile this type of online connectivity is. It’s probably been around since the birth of the internet, say 20 yrs, but every year, the ability and the technology just enhances our experience, so that today, it’s just a breeze to begin an email marketing business. The ability to reach out and connect instantly with our correspondents, clients, customers or users is just fantastic, so much so, I suspect that we take it for granted. Email marketing in essence is just another type of online connectivity that is at our disposal today. We can use it for personal use to keep in touch with family, friends, relatives or acquaintances. But in the broader sense, its the main thoroughfare for connecting with our business contacts or customers if we are promoting, marketing or advertising a new launch, special offer or something like a digital online course or digital product. It’s a great way or system of building and developing long lasting relationships with our customers. But also, ( on a word of caution ) it can drive our customers away from us if not used properly. That is why, there are very tight rules and regulations in this sector, so that we can protect our customers and contacts. It’s too easy to sit behind a computer and blast out a tranche of emails to unsuspecting customers advertising this and that, without giving due care and diligence to what we are doing.

Our great online Watchdog or Masters,…. Google, will always keep an eye on what we are doing and if they do not like what they see, they will ban us and put a stop to our suspicious and devious activities, without warning. It’s called Spam or Spamming, which is, the practice of sending repeat offers day after day or hour after hour and all the emails carrying the same message or content. If I was to put it bluntly, email marketing is the ability to sent letters or mail electronically instead of using the postal services, that we did heretofore.

How to get started..

We may or may not know that we can create a very profitable and viable online business in this sector, ie, email marketing, which will in time provide a very lucrative income for us if we would like to go down that road. In recent times, because of the current pandemic, C-19, a lot of people have lost their jobs sadly and are now looking in other directions to provide for themselves and their families. Email marketing or Affiliate marketing as it’s also know in some quarters can fill this space in short, but it takes time to get started and get our business up and running. One can start and email marketing business for approx $100, all that is required is, we sign up to an email marketing company or organisation, sign up for a free trial and begin our journey.

If we look at the digital marketplaces like …Clickbank, JVZoo, Warrior+ and others, select a product that we like to promote and then go ahead and promote it to a suitable audience. We can purchase a Solo Ad deal, which is a package of online customers or visitors, that we can promote our offer to. That is how easy it is, essentially. If we have some Social Media accounts, we can also promote this offer to our followers or members in a particular group. When they sign up for our offer, we then have their email addresses which we can use later on down the road to promote or contact again. The system that we use for sending out the emails is called an AutoResponder and it does this task for us at the press of a button, when it’s all set up.
